CHEECHAKO TO SOURDOUGH - SNOWMOBILE/ICE FISHING ADVENTURE from $1631.00 CAD - Dates Jan.16-Mar.20/09
Imagine yourself snowmobiling the trails of the Yukon to a remote lake where you will be part of a
true Northern adventure. This three night
package starts on arrival in Whitehorse when you will be transferred to the Westmark Whitehorse hotel. Here you can relax and unwind and enjoy dinner at
one of Whitehorse’s fine dining establishments.
You start as a newcomer, or Cheechako, with a one hour drive to the starting point where you will
load up the snow machines with your guide. You will follow part of the Yukon Quest trail for a
while and there will be stops for lunch and to take in the scenery. You should arrive at the Coghlan
Lake lodge by early afternoon where you will work with your guide to get the fire going, drill a hole
in the lake for water, and prepare the lodge for the night. After a hearty northern dinner, the sauna
will be prepared for a real northern experience; rolling in the snow after your sauna!
The next morning you can go ice fishing on the lake, or for a snowmobile tour. Mid-day it will be
time to pack up and head back, taking time to check for animal tracks, the scenery and a stop
for lunch. Shop for Yukon souvenirs before returning the next day to another world- but now you
can call yourself a Yukon Sourdough!
