Explore the historic relics and the modern day operations of silver mining in the Mayo-Elsa-Keno area and gold mining in the Dawson City area. Start by visiting some of the museums of Whitehorse which tell the story of its role as the transportation hub of the Yukon. And enjoy some great eating and shopping as well as trying a half day adventure package.

Then follow the Klondike Highway and Silver Trail to Mayo and start immersing yourself in the silver mining heritage of the area. Keno Hill, near Keno, is also known for its butterflies and wild flowers. After an overnight in Mayo you continue on to Dawson City to enjoy its Gold Rush of ’98 atmosphere. Visit an operating placer mine and explore the historic creeks before returning to Whitehorse.
